Mix and Match Health Insurance Policies

One of the easiest ways to save on your health insurance is to mix and match policies.  This means finding the most suitable and competitive hospital cover with one fund and then finding the most suitable and competitive general treatment (extras) cover – even when it’s with a different health fund.

Unfortunately, most people select a hospital insurance policy with a health fund and then choose a general treatment (extras) policy from the 2 or 3 covers available from the same health fund. But if they looked at the options available from other health funds, they would have a choice of hundreds of options – and would be far more likely to find a cover that best meets their needs and budget.

Health Insurance savings

By mixing and matching your health insurance policies in this way, you can often achieve significant health insurance savings and have more appropriate health cover for your particular needs.  The only real disadvantage to taking hospital and extras policies with 2 different health funds is the need to carry 2 membership cards – but we think that’s a small price to pay for the significant advantages you can enjoy.
